Sustained Attack on Brizzle

I'm trying to keep up with my bombing work.
This weekend I put up three newbies.


I've been poorly with a nasty cold that my beautiful nephew gave me. While tucked up under blankey on the sofa I made my first actual PAC MAN.

Cute isn't he. He's over the water from the SS Great Britain on the walk to the Grain Barge. I'll add the pattern to the Yarn Bombing Pattern page later this week.




Following Johanna's comment as to making GFB a knitted delight, I set to work on a long stripey number for the railings.

Really Really pleased with how its turned out. I got up early today (due to desperate need to blow my nose so I could breath) and nipped over to the bridge at around half 7 to avoid too much attention. I cringed when I saw a group of people still having a good time from the night before approaching. I was pleasantly surprise when one of them said how he'd love to see the whole bridge covered!

I couldn't resist and had to add two of my usual characters to it.



Last but not least I put up another Ghostie near the Arnolfini to keep the yellow one company.

I'm now concentrating on making pieces to put up in South Africa so I'll be leaving Brizzle alone for the time being.

Holy Cow! I don't think I've ever been this proud about something I've made. I feel even happier that its gone to a rather wonderful home.

Oscar Kempt will be one in April. Can't quite believe how quickly the Babies are growing up! Unfortunately we'll be in South Africa for his birthday party so I decided to give him an early pressie.  I adapted it so I didn't have to do the felting and could use some of the yarn I already had in my stash. I did have to buy the green eyelash yarn from ebay, but that was easy enough.

Back to the Bombing - Walrus and Space Invader

I've not been feeling 100% this week, I think I caught some disease floating around at work. I decided to skip gyming and spend the evenings on the sofa knitting up some pieces for public display - its been far too long.


I've noticed Gaol Ferry Bridge is becoming a bit of a Bristol yarn bombing Mecca, so I wanted to get in the mix.


Following the finger tache success, I made a big one for the railings so people can squat down in front of it and pretend they have a super large walrus.

I also put up a mini classic

As this seem to be a knitting friendly location I'm hoping these two bad boys stay up for a while, but they are at grab level so I'm probably being too optimistic

Annalisa at work asked me to make some finger puppets for her daughters but a search on Ravelry revealed something much more fun:

They are super easy and quick to make so I've been going 'tache crazy. I've made about 20 so far and will continue until all of Bristol is tached up!
